Interactive Brokers is not the cheapest at any pot size on this site. That is not a verdict on the platform — only on its published charges against the others', at 12 trades a year.

Interactive Brokers publishes UK fund dealing as 'nil to £4.95' — a range, not a price.
£36 a year is the ISA's £3 minimum monthly activity fee. Dealing is 0.05% subject to a £1.00 minimum, and 0.05% of a £1,000 order is £0.50, so every modelled trade costs the £1.00 minimum.
Every figure assumes 12 trades a year of £1,000 each, inside a stocks and shares ISA. It excludes Stamp duty at 0.5% on UK share purchases, the £1 PTM levy on orders over £10,000, fund manager charges (the OCF), and any foreign-exchange fee — every one of those is charged by someone other than the platform and is the same wherever you hold the money.
| Platform fee | £0 platform or custody fee; the ISA carries a £3 minimum monthly activity fee |
| Uk share dealing | Tiered: 0.05% of trade value, minimum £1.00 per order; Fixed: 0.05%, minimum £3.00 |
| Fund dealing | nil to £4.95 for UK funds |
| Fx fee | 0.002% of trade value, minimum $2.00 per conversion |
Charges read 18 August 2026 from Interactive Brokers's own pricing page. By far the cheapest FX in this table — roughly 100x cheaper than the retail apps — which matters more than the platform fee once you hold US shares. The trade-off is a professional-grade interface and a $2 minimum per conversion.
Charges read 19 August 2026 from each platform's own pricing page. Platforms reprice with little notice, and nothing here is advice — it is arithmetic on published charges.
